Things I’ve encountered when I joined this business
Overal Info
At the moment when I joined, the brand was new, and it didn’t have any advertising channels. My job was to establish the flow and create a general SOP for advertising on Meta and to figure out how exactly we should get this brand off the ground.

Things I’ve changed
The trickiest part of this operation was the fact that we didn’t even know whether the ads would work or not. The business wasn’t really validated at that point, as it was a startup, which means that advertising could backfire easily.
We started with a traffic campaign in order to get some friction and feel the pulse before we jump into conversion-related campaigns. Results were solid, lots of clicks, even some add to carts but unfortunately, no purchases. The pulse was there.
Back at the time, Meta Ads were not about just broad targeting; therefore, I tested as many audiences as we could find that could be the right fit for our needs based on the intent these audiences might have. Truth be told, nothing worked except for “passive income” interest inside meta, but this one was enough. I managed to move the needle with this one and finally get some sales. After that, we scaled the brand using various CBO campaigns with a mix of this exact interest and lookalike campaigns.
All the creatives were created by their team. I was here for creative input and suggestions.

ROAS
2.5
Over the course of 3 months, I managed to develop a foundational workflow for the future advertising efforts. The initial budget was raised to $10k from only $2k a month and ROAS of 2.5 was well above the KPI the brand had at the time.
